First, people should start consuming an adequate amount of fruits and vegetable daily. Both of them contains a high level of antioxidants which is useful for protecting the skin from the free radicals’ damage. The adequate amount should be consumed daily is at least five portions of vegetables and fruits.
Second, consuming enough vitamin C. It also contains a high level of antioxidants which is needed to reduce the blemishes on the skin, help to produce collagen and to create a radiant complexion. The food contains high vitamin C are blueberries, oranges, strawberries, and broccoli.
Third, consuming the right amount of vitamin E. The function of vitamin E is to create healthier skin growth and protect the skin from oxidative damage.
Fourth, consume healthy fat. The two fats that are categorised as healthy are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Natural healthy fat helps to keep human’s skin moisturised, elastic, and supple. It could be found in the oily fish, nuts, seeds, and avocados. Finally, the fifth one is drinking enough water daily. Water is the right way to keep your skin hydrated. Without enough amount, which is six to eight glasses per day, our skin will tend to look tired, a bit grey, and look dry. However, it also needs to be balanced with all the other nutrients mentioned above.
